About Us

The Libraries at the Al Ittihad Private School Jumeirah are centers of research, innovation, and learning. We serve to ensure students, teachers and staff are effective users of information and have access to a wide range of materials.

IPSJ’s two libraries—one with a focus on elementary students and the other serving middle and high school students—function as information hubs where students, teachers, parents, and staff are invited to use a variety of materials such as physical books, eBooks, magazines, newspapers, databases, and more (in English, Arabic, and French languages). We offer learning space for students to do independent work, group work and research assignments for both school and personal interest.

Elementary Library

The Elementary Library is a learning hub that serves to inspire and guide students on their learning journey. Our mission is to foster a love of reading and inspire our patrons to learn and develop skills needed to access information.

The Elementary Library Offers a wide variety of resources for reading, recreational activities and research. It is a very busy and well-used space. Students have library lessons every week and the opportunity to borrow materials on weekly basis. Parents are encouraged to visit the library and involve in reading programs that are run on a frequent basis.
We are constantly growing our collection and we accept donations, as well.

Working Hours: 7:30 am to 2:10 pm (Sunday to Thursday)

Middle & High School Library

The Middle and High School Library is at the heart of our school and we are dedicatedly providing a range of resources to support educational and recreational needs of our school community.
The Library offers a variety of resources for reading and research assignments. It inspires students to become life-long learners by promoting a love of reading and teaching information literacy skills for their educational needs. Students are encouraged to become regular users of the library for both study and relaxation purposes.
Students come and attend library lessons every month wherein they are taught various elements of Information Literacy and adapt techniques to find, evaluate, create and share information effectively. Patrons are privileged to take books home both in English and Arabic language and can choose from a small French collection also.
